Vault is an adventure mode site and is proven to be one of the ultimate challenges for any adventurer. Vaults are created during world generation by deitys to help certain demon with the same spheres to break in real world i.e. god of fortresses unleashes the demon into the world so great fortresses could be built. Vaults are big structures going many z-levels down and on each level you may meet one or several angelic guardians. At the bottom of the vault there is a giant Slab with the Demons true name on it. With that knowledge you can later track down the demon associated with that particular slab and either banish him or make him serve you.

There are 3 types of enemies you will meet in vaults: soldiers (large humanoids with weapons and armor made of divine materials and Talented-level combat skills), assistants (large creatures with random features and low combat skills), and giant beasts (sized similarly to forgotten beasts and having Grand Master combat skills). Unless your adventurer has the highest skills and the best possible equipment, it is likely that you will be instantly slain.
