This article is about an older version of DF.
A savage man-like cave creature.

Troglodytes are fairly common creatures in the upper cavern layers, and while an individual may not pose a great threat to a fortress they usually occur in large groups. They are capable of causing serious injury to unarmed civilians. Military dwarves or traps can be used to dispatch any troglodytes more safely. They are not butcherable.
