Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.
A small ape found in the trees of the tropical forest. It is known for its calls.

Gray gibbons are one of the many types of gibbon modeled in Dwarf Fortress. Pairs of gray gibbons will occasionally wander onto jungle maps.

Gray gibbons are very small, and don't produce much meat when butchered. With a fairly high pet value of 500, they may be worth more to you alive than dead. A dungeon master must be present in order to tame gray gibbons.

Admired for their coloration and their ability to swing through the trees.
