Catapults still act the same: Same settings, take same amount of parts which are build in the same way by a seige engineer. Rocks are thrown about 110 - 120 tiles. Still faster to fire them than carry them. Still very inaccurate. Still don't hurt dwarves (or allied creatures like merchants).

Still faster to fire them than carry them. Still very inaccurate. Still don't hurt dwarves (or allied creatures like merchants).
  
Ballista arrows are not as powerful as before. They can now glance off ordinary clothes. Catapults are extremely unlikely to hit anything and the stones glance off chain mail even if you manage to hit anything.
