This article is about an older version of DF.
A huge monster with an enormous tail, covered with thick fur. They run on four legs and can be found deep under the earth.

Rutherers are very big and the value of their body parts is multiplied by three, making them a great target for your Template:Ls. Their size, however, coupled with the fact that they can appear in groups of two to three makes them a real danger to even experienced adventurers, bringing you to the ground with charges and then severely wounding you in one lasting way or another not being a very uncommon sight.

They are tameable, but it requires a Template:L noble. Rutherers can also accompany Template:L on Template:Ls as mounts.
