Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.
A large, nocturnal, bottom-dwelling fish. It is sluggish in movement and found in near-tropical shores.

The Nurse shark is one of many shark species implemented in Dwarf Fortress. They are pretty big (about 150 kilo).

With a fairly high pet value of 300, they may be worth more to you alive than dead. Consider Template:L with a Template:L.
