This article is about an older version of DF.
A flying monster with stretched skin over its emaciated body. It has the head of a jackal with needle-like horns protruding through its mane.

Nightwings can prove to be very dangerous creatures due to their horns and ability to fly. They are also double the size of a dwarf, and thus can easily kill an unarmed dwarf. They have the ability to suck blood, but it is unknown whether this has any positive effects on the Nightwing or negative effects on the dwarf.

D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

On maps containing Batmen, Nightwings have been found to feel bitter at being constantly overshadowed.
