This article is about an older version of DF.
A gigantic version of the feline predator. Its giant prides can be found in the wildest, most savage parts of the world.

Giant lions are strong carnivorous animals, living in savage tropical areas. Matured giant lions can weight up to 400 kilo. They often hunt in small groups of 2 to 3 animals.

They can be used as mount by some races. [Verify]

A Template:L must be present in order to Template:L giant lions. They are also trainable into war/hunting giant lions. See Template:L for how this is done, and for a list of other trainable creatures.
