A large solitary feline. It is found in mountains and woodland, ambushing its prey.

Cougars are somewhat rare large cats that live in shrub- and woodlands. They rarely attack dwarves, preferring instead to wander around far from your fortress.

Cougars can be captured and Template:Ld by a Template:L. While cougar parts are worth twice as much as Template:L parts, it will take a long time to start a breeding program unless the Template:L bring a breeding pair.
