There are generally four categories of plants:

Crops and garden vegetable can be planted and may have different types of growths. Each growth can have different properties as far as usages and edibility. Some examples:

  • Artichoke hearts
  • Asparagus berry
  • Bambara groundnut pod
  • String bean pod


Trees are not farmable, and grow multiple z-levels. They provide wood and possibly fruit.
