Wikipedia article

This article is about the current version of DF.
Note that some content may still need to be updated.

Almond is one of the many trees found above ground. Like the vast majority of above ground trees, almond wood is brown and produces brown products.

Some dwarves like almond trees for their nuts.

Admired for its nuts.

D4Dwarf.png This article or section has been rated D for Dwarf. It may include witty humour, not-so-witty humour, bad humour, in-jokes, pop culture references, and references to the Bay12 forums. Don't believe everything you read, and if you miss some of the references, don't worry. It was inevitable.

Almond trees bear delicious crunchy almonds that can be harvested by setting up a gathering zone underneath it. Almonds cannot be brewed into alcohol. Therefore, you're better off exterminating each and every one of these ugly, useless potential elf retreats cutting the tree or cooking the almonds into +Almond Biscuits+.

Sadly, almonds in Dwarf Fortress are all of the sweet variety, and of little use for giving nobles or elves a meal to die for.
