A small woolly insect that lives in hive colonies. It has an annoying sting which it rarely uses.


Bumblebees are a type of vermin. They are found in any area that isn't freezing. Their wild colonies can be transferred into artificial hives and they are instantly transformed into honey bees[Verify]. They can sting a nearby dwarf without dying causing slight pain but no negative thought for the dwarf. They are not killed by cats.

Bugs

  • Bumblebees placed into a hive will become honey bees. Bug:3990
  • Due to being converted to honey bees when put into hives, their honey/mead/jelly may be preferred by some dwarves but isn't obtainable. Bug:4735
