Black bears are the smallest of all bears, and also the most common. They usually come along roughly once every second year. They are known to raid your alcohol storage, if the storage is close to the surface. One black bear can be killed by a single war dog, but usually it takes two or three and probably only one will survive. An average hunter can kill it with five to ten arrows or bolts.
