This article is about an older version of DF.

Wax is a material pressed from a honeycomb. Wax can be used to make crafts by a wax worker.

Honeycombs are produced by honey bees at a hive, harvested as part of the beekeeping industry. In order to press the honeycomb, you must have a dwarf with the pressing labor active, a screw press, and empty jugs. A jug of honey is produced as a by product.

Wax has a low base value of 1, same as wood or non-flux stone.
