The creature definitions for the [[mussel]] and [[oyster]] indicate that they leave pearls, but there is no known job for harvesting them. However, an order to "decorate items with pearl/ivory" can be issued from a [[Craftsdwarf's workshop]]. Caravans from other civilizations have been reported to trade pearl crafts and items decorated with pearls.
