This article is about an older version of DF.

Plant processing, also known as threshing, is a skill used in the Farmer's Workshop to process plants into a more useful form. Plants will produce seeds when processed, if they have any.

None of the produced goods have quality values; thus, the only benefit of high skill level is faster processing speed.

Plant used Product Uses
Rope reed Rope reed thread Cloth for clothes, etc
Pig tail Pig tail thread Cloth for clothes, etc
Sweet pod Dwarven syrup Cooking into high-value meals
Quarry bush Quarry bush leaves Cooking into meals*

*Quarry bush leaves are not especially valuable, but there are a lot in one stack of leaves. This will increase the size of the resulting mealstack.
