Iron is an important resource for a fortress, as an often-plentiful material that can be used to make just about anything necessary, from weapons to Template:L to Template:L. Iron is also a necessary ingredient in the production of Template:L, the best non-spoiler metal in the game for Template:Ls and Template:L.

The three ores of iron can only be found in Template:L layers, with the exception of Template:L, which can occasionally be found in Template:L layers.
