Extracts can be made in various ways. Most currently have no known uses, except as their value in trade.

Making Extracts

You can make extracts from:

Animals at a Butcher's shop using the Extract from a dead animal option and animal dissection. Requires a living caged animal, and a vial.

Fire snakes create Liquid Fire
Phantom spider Venom and antivenin [Verify] each worth 20
Cave spider Venom and antivenin [Verify]

At the Farmers workshop, you can also create milk.

Purring Maggots create Dwarven Milk

The following can only be imported:

Snakeman Venom, worth 100
Giant Desert Scorpion Venom
Giant Cave Spider Venom
Cow's Milk
One-humped Camel's Milk
Two-humped Camel's Milk

Fish at a fishery using the fish dissector skill. Requires a living caged fish. [Verify]

Moghopper makes five units of Mog Juice

Plants at a Farmers workshop using the Plant Processing skill and the option "Processing plants (to vial)"

Kobold bulbs make five[Verify] units of Gnomeblight, each worth 100
Valley herbs make five units of Golden salve, each worth 100

Dwarven Syrup is also considered an extract under the stockpile menu, and is also created in the Farmers workshop via "Process plants (barrel)"

Sweet pods make Dwarven Syrup, worth 20
