Bite symptoms[edit]

I tested this by spawning a dwarf and a helmet snake in the arena and taking control of the helmet snake to bite the dwarf (then killing the helmet snake with DFHack). After falling unconscious for a while, the dwarf stood up and began walking around again, and the syndrome disappeared from the dwarf's z screen. The dwarf's current wounds:

Her left lower leg is cut open. Her left lower leg is rotten. Her left lower leg is completely swollen with dwarf blood. Her lower body is cut open.

From this experiment, it appears that bites cause necrosis in the affected area, but do not cause the affected part to fall off, so I'm removing this statement from the article. —Lethosor (talk) 14:41, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
