Does anyone know why magma crabs create steam explosions while they swim in the magma? I couldn't think of any solid reason. My guess is that they spit basalt as a projectile and that the projectile doesn't realise it's magma safe, and evaporates.--Ghostbird 21:36, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

- He means that because it's a projectile the game doesn't realize that it is magma-safe and thinks it should burn up. The inverse of being able to build constructions out of wood that will withstand magma. 108.77.147.9 00:14, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
