What about singer and dancer and musician? Do they improve stats? 2001:1970:4000:84:30EB:9C25:5E1E:4CA1 03:58, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

So I've been doing some science! on an adventuring bard and have added a couple attributes to the speaker, singer, and musician pages. I've tested this with the advinfo.lua DF Hack plugin and am reasonably confident that it's accurate. I would like to add those to this page, and think I could edit some parts of it. However, I have no idea how to add skills to the {SkillsBySoulAttribute} section. Is there anyone who knows how that might be done? --Rhavviepoodle (talk) 05:34, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

I just located the skill->attribute lookup function in version 0.47.05 and identified all of the attributes for every skill, including the (apparently unknown) fact that skills have a primary physical and mental attribute which provide a larger bonus (specifically, the primary attribute gives a bonus of up to N/100 while the secondary and tertiary attributes each give a bonus of up to N/250). For now, I've only updated the "old" version of the attribute table, which I also organized in in-game order rather than alphabetical order (most notably, I kept the Physical attributes and Mental attributes in separate sections) - somebody else who has time is encouraged to apply the same updates to the "new" table. --Quietust (talk) 02:31, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

Verify Drowning when swimming will increase toughness.[edit]

To test this:

Build "Bridge" in Adventurer mode over river.

When you swim under bridge, you will begin drowning.

Move back and forth under bridge whilst coming up for breath on either side.

Avoid fighting all those crocodiles.

Seemed to Increase toughness from Above Average to High to Superior very quickly (about one or two days spent swimming).

Done with a Legendary skill in swimming.

"Bridge" used:

Water - Wall - Floor - Wall - Water
