I know it is constant for DF but are there any specific numbers for acceleration due to gravity? --[[User:HYBRID BEING|HYBRID BEING]] 06:03, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Some new 34.08 !!science!!

If you drop a creature from a hatch onto another creature, the falling creature will be unharmed. The creature acting as a cushion, however, can sustain injuries.

It used to be that a single level fall would only stun- this is no longer the case, although the injuries are likely to be minor bruising

falling into water

I am curious if falling into non-drowning water will soften the fall. Assume 1 z-level. I was watching Captainduck's video and he raises a bridge and a dwarf falls and breaks his leg. I wonder if it could have been avoided with, say 4/7 water under the bridge?Discipol 13:26, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
