Sorry that I am a complete newbie. It took me a while to figure out how to make river drain out of map at edge of map.
  
 
the river is not frozen. I made branches that ended in dead end. a branch made of up and down stair and then flow out through edge of map.

An other one that I made by channeling at the ground level. None of these worked... Only the original river continues to give mussels.
