A couture dress is the alternative to off-the-rack dresses. With couture dresses, a master seamstress will make a pattern for your dress out of muslin. It is at this stage that you can begin to modify the Blue prom dress to your tastes, your size and your needs. You can raise the neckline, lengthen or shorten the train and even add or take away sleeves. This muslin pattern will be sewn together and fitted to your exact dimensions.

The muslin dress will be created, allowing you to find out White maxi dress how your wedding dress will look - and how it will look on you - even before a single cut is made in the lace, organza or toile of your final couture gown. And speaking of fabric, you will have your choice in the fabrics used. Often times, fabrics for a couture gown are richer than those used in standard dresses. It's not unusual to find French lace and Italian silk in a couture gown.
A maul is a blunt weapon that is essentially a very large war hammer (similar to a modern-day sledgehammer). Mauls are more than three times larger than standard war hammers, with a similar "bash" attack. Mauls also have a 10x larger contact area and greatly reduced penetration, which unfortunately reduces their effectiveness.

Mauls use and train the hammerdwarf skill. Being foreign weapons, dwarves cannot forge mauls, limiting supply to whatever low-quality specimens can be traded from human caravans and scavenged from invaders. Although, it is possible that a dwarf in a strange mood craft a maul as a legendary artifact.

Due to the size of mauls, most dwarves are unable to equip them. With height and broadness modifiers, some dwarves should be able to use a maul, and a select few might manage to do so one-handed. Unfortunately, due to a bug, mauls cannot currently be equipped by any dwarves, but they work really well inside a Weapon Trap.

In fortress mode, one-handed vs. two-handed checks are performed correctly, but can wield vs. can't wield ignores height and broadness modifiers, so dwarves cannot equip mauls.0005812 See this forum post for details.
