Since children can be kidnapped by Snatchers, it might be worth discussing that a bit here.  If not, at least link to the snatcher article someplace on this article.  I know next to nothing on the topic, so I'm just leaving a note here. Vitriolum 02:08, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

:This is definitely mentioned now, as of October 2011, but I was thinking of adding that assigning a bedroom to children keeps them from wandering outdoors, where they are much more likely to be kidnapped. I've found over the years (starting in .40d, but it should carry over) that I never have children kidnapped as long as I assign them bedrooms. Does anyone have similar experiences? Should that footnote be added here, and/or perhaps under Snatcher? --Zander j 06:37, 9 October 2011 (UTC)

I just had a child taken by a strange mood, she finishes the project and then gets promptly kidnapped.

Is there any way of getting her back? --121.73.99.102 07:37, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
