'''Jet''' is not to be mistaken with ''Fallout 2'' lore. Melting this rock in magma and trying to inhale the vapors will '''not''' work. Even with furious testing with multiple dwarves they acted no differently to repeated dump jet tasks; and thus the only reasonable explanation is that melted jet is not intoxicating nor does it produce an addiction. Although I might need to add that some dwarves had much {{L|Fun}} with magma but I assume this was due to carelessness rather than intoxication. More research is needed.

Wikipedia article

This article is about an older version of DF.

Jet is a standard dark gray Template:L found in large clusters in sedimentary layers. It is not magma safe, and may only be used for basic stone purposes.

In real life, jet is actually derived from decaying wood under extreme pressure and is an extremely low grade of Template:L. However, jet is useless as a Template:L, although historically it has been a popular source of jewelry and Template:L.

Jet is not to be mistaken with Fallout 2 lore. Melting this rock in magma and trying to inhale the vapors will not work. Even with furious testing with multiple dwarves they acted no differently to repeated dump jet tasks; and thus the only reasonable explanation is that melted jet is not intoxicating nor does it produce an addiction.
