A '''Desert''' is typically a piece of land full of mostly {{L|sand}}. Deserts are a more challenging place to build a fort, as they lack a supply of {{L|wood}}. However, if a {{L|magma}} stream can be found or you are brave enough to venture deep enough, you can make a working fortress out of nothing but {{L|glass}}. An {{L|aquifer}} present makes for an easy {{L|water}} source, but breaking through it to find {{L|stone}} is difficult.
