The Lazy Newb Pack is a Windows-only package containing the most recent version of Dwarf Fortress and a collection of now-outdated graphics packs and utilities. It was created and managed by LucasUP Official Thread
A newer, updated version is managed by PeridexisErrant, and a version for Mac has been created by fricy. These newer versions have an updated GUI and the contents have been substantially updated and expanded compared to the classic version.
FAQ
How to move savegames to a new version
1) Saves are located in "Dwarf Fortress\data\save". Copy your save folder over to the NEW VERSION.
Your save games still contain old raw and graphic files.
2) Optional: To upgrade savegames to latest version, go to graphics tab and install an updated graphics pack, or just press "Update Savegames" if you don't use one.
