I agree, in the sense this is a differently-designed flowchart and as such, would deserve it's own page (as with all pictures that significantly alter their contents after revision). The articles may have references to the older flowchart that aren't reflected properly on this new version.--Doktoro Reichard (talk) 19:52, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I wanted this to be a superior version of the old flowchart, and to replace it completely. A number of people on the Reddit DF subforum agreed with me that this version is better than the old one, and would be more helpful for new players. If you do not agree, I would be happy to accept changes (https://github.com/PTFort/QuickstartFlowchart). As well, all pages that refer to the flowchart simply say that this flowchart shows the general steps to starting a fortress, and may not be complete or the most informative. I believe that description applies equally well to both versions. Thank for your comments. --PT Fort (talk) 05:28, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

:Apparently I didn't notice the Reddit post. It's fine with me if we keep it here (my only concern was that information in it might conflict with other pages, but it doesn't look like that's the case). —Lethosor (talk) 15:47, 28 January 2014 (UTC)

Layout
Being a DF newb this new version does seem quite a bit more useful. The only negative compared to the old one is the horizontal layout. If this could be laid out vertically I think it would be a great improvement to usability. Janzert (talk)

How to show original size image here?
I clicked on the image from the quickstart guide since I can't read it there. I get this image that's the same size. I have to click it a 2nd time to get a zoomed version. Can that second click be removed?

I tried to edit this page, but I don't know this software well enough to pinpoint where that setting might be (the default display resolution). I see the "|thumb" entry on the quickstart guide's tag, but I would hope that wouldn't impact this page for the file itself.

And I looked at the edit page, but it didn't let me do much for images (as far as editing existing content) except upload a new file. That upload seems to have the values I might want to change, but I didn't want to upload the image again if I didn't have to.

I'd think a default of using an image size that tries to fill the screen would be smart. With an option to zoom further if the image is big enough (user screen is small enough). – unsigned comment by EternalStudent07

:The way that images display on an image's description page, like :File:FlowchartDF.png, cannot be changed, unfortunately. —Lethosor (talk) 02:01, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
