Template:CreatureInfo

This article is about an older version of DF.

Warthogs are glorified pigs preferring hot Template:Ls and are neither remarkable or interesting in any particular way. Template:Ls will interrupt work to run from them if they spot one. Warthogs will also tend to run from dwarfs so chaos tends to ensue if one or more somehow find their way inside a Template:L. One on one, they are generally no match for a dabbling wrestler. They usually live in small herds of 3 to 7, though a Template:L will have no trouble with a herd, armed or otherwise.

Usefulness

They can be trained and used as Template:Ls or as a Template:L and Template:L source. Warthogs Template:L, Template:Ls, Template:L, and leather have a Template:L of 10☼, twice that of Template:Ls, the Template:L, or a Template:L valued at 5☼, but produce less bones, Template:Ls, and meat than other more common Template:Ls such as the Template:L, Template:L, and Template:L.

Other animals, such as Template:Ls which are often found along with warthogs, are more valuable. Warthogs breed and mature at a rate comparable with a Template:L or Template:L but are worth more per part, and when butchered produce 3 more fat.
