Phantom spiders occur in terrifying biomes, which are usually heavily wooded. Colder tempatures seem more likely to bring them out of their liar. Similar to Giant cave spiders, they produce areas of webbing that can be collected and woven into thread at a loom. The areas a phantom spider cover with webbing seem to be smaller, but the patches are more numerous. Phantom spiders are similar to goblin snatchers and kobold thieves in that they sneak well, and are usually hidden from sight. Interestingly, they do not appear to be predatory, unlike their Giant cave spider brethren.
