Giant cave spider silk plant

To run effective giant cave spider silk cloth production first thing you'll need is Giant Cave Spider (GCS) (more than one is a plus).

Catching Giant Cave Spider

First you need to cage it. There are many different ways to achieve it. One of them is to build a circle from Cage traps and put some victim animal inside. You should build that somewhere where Giant Cave Spider likes to travel.

Web plant

When you've got your caged Giant Cave Spider, you could start building. All you need for your web plant is:

My personal web plant looks like this:

##########################
#+++X++++++++++++++++++++#
#^ + ++++++++++++++++++++#
#G + ++++++++++++++++++++#
#G + ++++++++++++++++++++#
#+ H ++++++++++++++++++++##
#S $ ++++++++++++++++++++^+
#+ + ++++++++++++++++++++##
#  + ++++++++++++++++++++#
##++ ++++++++++++++++++++#
 #++ ++++++++++++++++++++#
 #++X++++++++++++++++++++#
 #########################

With current setup Giant Cave Spider shoots webs in chained animal's direction quite often and my weaver do not afraid of him while collecting webs.

Also this could be extended if you'll manage to get more than one Giant Cave Spider also you could try to run a farm :)
