:Cheers I'm glad you like it and am surprised you found this page. I considered this but was worried that the pumps might pressurise the magma forcing it into my fort. I have just realised that there may be a way to power the stack from the bottom without exposing the gears to any magma. The gear could sit under the lowest pump and have only it's top open which would then have a pump blocking it. It might obstruct the magma source tile or reduce the speed the source tile refills but I agree it would look nicer with it hidden. I'll have to think about this after I get some sleep. ::I just tried powering from bellow using the method I suggested the day before last and it works fine. The only problem is that due to how I have the pumps arranged in my design one of the lowest has it's source obscured by the wall protecting the workings. I must admit it's not much of an issue really. [[User:Vattic|Vattic]] 07:36, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

::Figured out another method. You can route power through a pump while it blocks the tunnel. Then you'd have to use a line of magma-safe gears on the hot side of the pump.[[User:Vattic|Vattic]] 06:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
