Revision as of 21:33, 19 April 2010

This article is about an older version of DF.
For built horizontal and vertical bars, see Template:L.

A bar is a sub-type of building material (interchangeable with a Template:L for that purpose), and is the base individual unit of Template:L, Template:L, Template:L, Template:L, Template:L, Template:L, and tallow Template:L. All Template:Ls are created as bars at a Template:L, whether processed from Template:Ls, Template:Led with other metals, or Template:Led down from existing metal items.

With the exception of non-Template:L materials, all bars are as durable as others - a wall made from bars of ash, charcoal or soap will last as long one made from bars of Template:L.[Verify]

Most bars are not an end-product, but are then used to produce something else:

Bar of... Use
Template:L makes Template:L or Template:L
Template:L powering standard Template:Ls, Template:Ls, Template:Ls, and Template:Ls,
and for making Template:L and Template:L
Template:L Template:Ling
Template:L needed ingredient for clear or crystal Template:L
Template:L used as Template:L, makes Template:L
Template:L Template:L

All types of bars can also be used to build Template:L, Template:L, Template:L, and other Template:Ls, as well as built as Template:L[Verify]. (Be aware that some purposes suggest the use of Template:L materials.) However, different bars require different Template:Ls to use in such construction projects - Template:Ling for metal bars and Template:Lry for all others (including bars of soap).

"Bars" of Template:L metal are referred to as "wafers", but when used as building material they function the same as any other bars.[Verify]
