Appearance

This page says that appearance doens't affect anything, while Weapon page says:

In adventurer mode, however, it is possible to wield a two-handed sword, or any multi-grasp weapon, in one hand without penalty (allowing for the simultaneous use of a shield) if your character passes the one-handed check for single-handing a multi-grasp weapon. For example, if you create a human character, and manage to spawn into a world with a "broad body" or a "tall body" in the character description, you will be able to single-hand any multi-grasp weapon (and will be forced to, much like you are forced to single-hand any single-grasp weapon)

  • Broadness and tallness should affect wielding, as they are directly proportional to your size, which does. I’m not sure 100% sure on muscularity/STRENGTH, it might or might not. Voliol (talk) 10:14, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Unfulfillable needs

I have not been able to fulfill the "Admire art" need recently. Not sure when that started. Have tried looking at the description of coins, statues, figurines (my own, and others), engravings (made with advfort), and items decorated with images.

I wonder if "Be with friends" can be fulfilled now with the addition of parties since they seem to start as friends.

In testing distraction I did nothing but sleep and wait for half a month and that did not fulfill "Take it easy".

I guess "Eat good meal" can be fulfilled now but that would require having made a player fort with stockpile of them. (Or mods/dfhack) Ziusudra (talk) 08:42, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

In the 'race and civilization' section, kobolds are currently "playable in newer versions but not in older versions" - would someone more knowledgeable please correct this as to which versions these are, so an immigrant off the Steam train, or from parts further afield like itch.io, doesn't wander in here and get confused, like this seasoned veteran has just been? Thanks for the help. Silverwing235 (talk) 13:36, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
