There are generally four categories of plants:
Crops and garden vegetable can be planted and may have different types of growths. Each growth can have different properties as far as usages and edibility. Some examples:
- Artichoke hearts
- Asparagus berry
- Bambara groundnut pod
- String bean pod
Trees are not farmable, and grow multiple z-levels. They provide wood and possibly fruit.
Grasses form the natural ground cover of the surface and caves. It is needed to feed animals with the [GRAZER] token.
