For built horizontal and vertical bars, see Bars.

A bar is a sub-type of building material. All metals are created as bars at a smelter, whether processed from ores or alloyed with other metals. Refined coal, ash, potash, pearlash, and tallow soap are also created as bars.

All types of bars can be used in roads and other constructions, as well as built as horizontal or vertical bars.

Metal bars are used at a metalsmith's forge to create weapons, armor, furniture, crafts, and to decorate items.

Bars of adamantine metal are referred to as wafers, but when used as building materials, they function the same as other bars.
