The [FANCIFUL] tag in a creature's raws renders it physically nonexistent in the world of dwarf fortress. This allows dwarves to like the creature and use it in engravings and statues, but means you can't capture the creature in cage traps.

Seeds are used in {{l|farming}}. They can be stored in barrels or bags, which can in turn can be stored in barrels. They can be brought on embark or obtained by {{l|gather plants|gathering}} or growing the respective {{l|crops}}. When crops are eaten or used in {{l|brewing}}, they typically leave one or more plantable seeds. One notable exception is the {{l|Valley herb}} which will not leave behind seeds after processing.

'''Finished Goods''' are a number of products produced mostly by {{L|craftsdwarf|craftsdwarfs}} and the like, such as {{L|leatherworker|leatherworkers}}, {{L|clothier|clothiers}}, {{L|stone crafter|stone crafters}}, etc.. These items are {{L|crafts}}, {{L|instrument|instruments}}, {{L|mug|mugs}}, {{L|toy|toys}}, and {{L|clothes}} (note: this is not a complete list).

Finished goods are typically useful as {{L|export}} items. However, clothes are important for your dwarves after the second year, when the clothes they brought with them have been quite worn out.

All finished goods go into a finished goods {{L|stockpile}}.

Should you have a {{L|Bin}} available, the goods will be stacked into the Bin, if the stockpile settings allow Bins to be used. When Finished Goods are in a Bin, the Bin can easily be moved to a trade depot instead of individual items, making hauling goods far faster and more efficient.

Many activities cause noise in 3 dimensions radiating from the source.It will disturb dwarves that are sleeping giving them a slight bad thought, should they be waken up by the noise the dwarf will generate an unhappy thought.
